Headcanon is a private, personal tool for generating stories for your own entertainment. By using it you agree to the following.

Personal, non-commercial use

Stories you create are private to your account and are not published or shared by Headcanon. The app is a generation tool for personal enjoyment, not a publishing platform.

Your content and fandoms

If you write within an existing fandom, you supply the characters and setting context yourself. Headcanon ships no copyrighted canon material and makes no claim to any third-party intellectual property. You are responsible for your own use of any outputs you generate.

AI generation

Story text is produced by an AI model that you configure with your own provider and API key. Generated content may be inaccurate or unexpected. Requests are sent to the AI endpoint you choose.

No warranty

The app is provided as-is, without warranty. It may change or become unavailable at any time.
